We are proud to present GandiMail : a free email service included with each domain name. Many of you are already familiar with this service. However, for those of you who have not heard about it, here are the stats :
* one mailbox with 1Go disc space
* 1000 email forwards and unlimited alias mail
* antispam and antivirus protection
* Gandi WebMail so that you can check your messages from anywhere
* a POP and IMAP account so that you can configure your favorite email software
* one mailbox with 1Go disc space
* 1000 email forwards and unlimited alias mail
* antispam and antivirus protection
* Gandi WebMail so that you can check your messages from anywhere
* a POP and IMAP account so that you can configure your favorite email software
An advanced version, but still in Beta as there are still some improvements that need to be made to the WebMail. The majority are cosmetic improvements, but there are also still some problems with the WebMail code. We have invested a great deal of time in correcting, optimizing and securing this code and we feel that it has now reached an acceptable level. This is why we are launching this service today. Rest assured that our developers are continuing to improve the WebMail and we will certainly take your feedback into consideration.
We ask that you post all comments at : href="http://groups.gandi.net/group/gandi.en.mail"
For new or apprehensive users, we have created a FAQ:
http://www.gandi.net/domaine/mail
We have also begun an "Illustrated Guide" dedicated to this new service.
We will also soon be launching an extension to the GandiMail service that will allow you to create up to 1000 POP accounts with disc space of up to 50Go!

How do I create/access my Gandi mail?
Hello Glo!
Before you can access Gandi Mail, you need to create a mailbox.
To create an e-mail mailbox, you need to:
1. Go to the domain name's control panel (if you have more than one, you need to click on the domain that you want to create an address for)
2. Click on the link "manage my accounts" in the e-mail area (down in the Technical Settings section). This will take you to the page where you can create a new mailbox.
3. From there, click on the "create" button and select the type of e-mail service you want to create. Select "mailbox" in this case.
4. Enter the name that you want that mailbox to have and all the other settings (password, etc.).
(for more on this, please visit our FAQ at: https://www.gandi.net/faq/view_cate...
To access your mail, you have two options:
1) Via our webmail service (in Alpha testing) at http://mail.gandi.net
(more here: https://www.gandi.net/faq/view_cate... )
2. Via an e-mail client (ex. Thunderbird, Mail, Outlook, etc..)
(for more on this: https://www.gandi.net/faq/view_ques... )
If you have any problems with your Gandi Mail, please feel free to discuss them with the Gandi community or to write to support. We have a special community group for Gandi Mail users here: http://groups.gandi.net/group/gandi...

I have tried and tried and tried and tried but no matter what i just can't get to _send_ mail via smtp.ikioma.info or smtp.gandi.net.
Receiving mails work just fine, so i am halfway there.
It is when i am trying to send mails i get an error message that the server cannot be used and i am prompted to choose another server. Please help, this is driving me crazy because i can't figure out what i am doing wrong. I think i have tried just about everything.
For what it's worth I am using apple mail.app. Are there other settings for this program that i am not aware of?
regards/
Lukiss...
Hello!
The correct outgoing server name is (in your case): smtp.ikioma.info.
As you are using the DNS of a third party, I cannot see what MX records you have added to your zone at your web host, but you need to be using:
pop 10800 IN CNAME access.mail.gandi.net.
imap 10800 IN CNAME access.mail.gandi.net.
smtp 10800 IN CNAME relay.mail.gandi.net.
webmail 10800 IN CNAME agent.mail.gandi.net.
If you only entered:
@ 10800 IN MX 10 spool.mail.gandi.net.
@ 10800 IN MX 50 fb.mail.gandi.net.
...that will only work for your mail forwarding and NOT our other services (such as sending mail).
(in any case, please don't forget the final 'dot' when you make the records at your host!)
So check and see that you have entered all the MX records correctly, and you will be able to send mail without any difficulty (after you make changes to your zone, remember that you will need to wait several hours for the propagation to occur - it will not work right away).
Concerning the configuration of Apple Mail for sending mail, remember that smtp.ikioma.info is your outgoing server, and that your username is the FULL e-mail address of your mailbox, and that your password is the one you specified when you set up the mailbox.
That's all there is to it!
We have opened a Gandi Group for peer-to-peer assistance with Gandi Mail that everyone may enjoy at: http://groups.gandi.net/group/gandi...
Have fun!
What terms of service apply for GandiMail?
Looks interesting.
Thanks in advance.
Hi, I tested the 1 email account for my domain. It is good. Now, when can we see the creation of more than 1 email accounts (Gandi mail pack). I am thinking of using this Gandi mail pack to replace the 10 emails that I created when I hosted the domain name somewhere else [now down for more than 12 hours]. Thanks,
Kheehua

Is there any news on when the Gandi Mail Pack will be available?
I really need more than one mailbox!
Welcome to the bar, Nathan!
The pack mail will be available *really* soon ('soon' in terms of days rather than weeks).
Quite probably, if you hold your breath, you will make it
