Launch of .CO.UK!

Registration of this ccTLD is open to all; it is not necessary that you live in the United Kingdom. The registration period is a minimum of 2 years. For those that are interested, please remember that you need to 'push' your domain to our TAG (GANDI) before launching the transfer request.
Details of this ccTLD are available here
The rates for .CO.UK domains can be found here
At the same time, we are pleased to announce the release of.org.uk domains!

Hooray! Great to find that one of the top anti-spam registrars is now involved in the .uk TLD arena, let's hope that in the course of time, the spam-friendly or clueless registrars are recognised for what they are, and that proactive registrars like Gandi will start to gain ground in the UK.
Anyone who is thinking of registering a .co.uk domain and wants to make a difference in the war on spam, Gandi is where to come!
Thank you David
Gandi is indeed very active in supporting just causes, and of course part of that is our fight against spam and internet abuse.
The .co.uk ccTLD (extension) has been one of the most frequently-requested by our customers, and so we are now very pleased that we can say "YES"!
Transferring .co.uk and .org.uk domains
To transfer process is a bit different for .co.uk and .org.uk, because it begins by "pushing" the domain. Here is how it is done:
1. Contact your current registrar (of the domain name in question).
You need to specify towards which registrar you want to transfer the domain.
This operation is called a "PUSH" or "PUSHING YOUR DOMAIN".
To do so, you will need to specify Gandi's "TAG".
(A "TAG" is a handle specific for each registrar)
Gandi's TAG is : GANDI
2. Launch the transfer via Gandi's website
Once this is done, you can start the transfer procedure from Gandi's
interface, just like for any other TLD (extension). You can see a visual guide on this here.
Wahoo!
Excellent news. No more dealing with second rate registrars. We can now do all our domain admin in one place and know its going to work right first time.
Well done Gandi.net keep up the great work!.
Joe.
Thanks for the support Joe! Of course if ever you need help with managing your domain names, we would be glad to respond to anything you can throw at us!

Yoohoo! Glad you got my mail Marcus
Welcome home!
Everyone here says 'you're welcome', and there is still more to come...
This is great news indeed. Not that I need to register any UK domains yet, but still...
Are you planning to expand to other TLDs then? I'd love to transfer my .es domains, as well as registering new .cat ones with you.
Hello Victor!
We will be rolling out about one new TLD per week here shortly. And .es is definitely a priority!
Oh yeahhhhh!!! That is a great move, I really appreciate it.
And guess what, I would fully enjoy the move if the Irish .ie ccTLD could come shortly. It will be time for me to move to a reseller account.
I know a few clients who would enjoy the Gandi package and.. no spam!
Raaahhhh, I can't wait.
Again, thanks to everyone at Gandi! You are an amazing team!
[Is my previous entry in the Spam Folder ?? 8-( ]
So, happy for my UK friends. And I will fully enjoy the move for Irish dot ie ccTLD. Where will it come @Gandi?
I will really appreciate to upgrade my account to a resseller one, thus my clients could enjoy Gandi package and... less spam!!
Well, I renewed by .co.uk domain some two months ago and, although Gandi claim that it's now renewed for two years, despite extensive communication with the support team, the UK registrar have still not received the renewal and are now threatening to cancel my domain.
Come on Gandi, you can do better than this!
Hello Daern,
Nominet, the UK registry, received the renewal of your domain name just fine, and it was renewed when you made your operation.
The reason it appeared to not have been renewed is that Nominet did not update your whois to reflect the change. We have written to them about this, requesting that they update the information, but are waiting for a reply now from them.
There is no need to worry, your domain is renewed and in good care with us. We will send you another e-mail when we have received confirmation from Nominet that the whois has been updated.
