What's new : .DE, .RU, service status in real time...

We are pleased to release 3 new improvements this week, .DE domains for
everyone, launch of .RU and live service status directly from Gandi's
homepage:
.DE domains for everyone
We are now able to offer the German extension to everyone! This is done
by setting a local German contact (trustee) as one of your domain
contacts when you purchase a .DE domain. The local contact (a German
lawyer) will automatically become the administrative contact at the
registry on your behalf, though you will of course still own the domain
name, and have administrative rights through Gandi.
Launch of .RU
With nearly 2 million active domain names, this ccTLD is among the top 15 in the world. However, for technical reasons, purchases will be limited to non-Russian companies only. Individuals (whether or not they are in Russia) cannot register .ru domains with Gandi. Additionally, transfers involve a different process and we do not manage them yet automatically.

.RU rates range from €21 to €28 excl. VAT per year for creations and renewals.
Live service status
Last but not least, you can now see the state of our various services directly from Gandi's home page! For those that have not yet noticed the little light (green, I hope) at the top our home page, it indicates the state of our DNS, Hosting, Mail, Blog, Sitemaker, Network, and other services in real time.
This allows you to monitor the status of various Gandi services. These statuses are represented by three colors:
- all of Gandi's services are running normally
- part of the service is experiencing a problem, or maintenance is scheduled
- the service is experiencing a problem or maintenance is underway that has caused an interruption in service
As indicated in an earlier post, major hosting features (backups, snapshots, additional IP addresses...) will also be released in the coming weeks.

Hey, I'm a very happy user of Gandi! I'm just wondering if you have any other country specific TLDs on the way, specifically .au, as I'm in Australia. Anyway, Keep up the stellar work!
